The earliest advert we've seen for cylinder desks dates from 1871 (instantly to left). Cylinder desks have been advertised in the US in 1873 & 1876 (Kehr, Kellner & Co.) and continued to be advertised in the early 1880s. The earliest illustrations we've got seen of offices with cylinder desks date from 1874 (far right) and 1876.
