The 2021 Instagram Rich List, which was unveiled this week in its fifth year running, is based on how much each user can charge for a single Instagram post. 
The list is put together on a yearly basis by , which analyses data including average engagement, how often they post, industry variables and the number of followers one has. 
It marked the first time Cristiano has taken the top spot on the list, obtaining the highest ever amount in the List's history.
Ariana Grande, Dwayne Johnson, Kyle Jenner and Selena Gomez also placed in the top five highest paid celebrities on Instagram.

It was revealed this year that the Thank U Next singer can now charge up to $1.51 million per single Instagram post.

Although she appeared at the top of the Instagram Rich List five years ago, she appears to have dropped down the rankings.
In the 2017 Instagram Rich List, it was revealed that Selena could earn up to $550,000 per post.

At the time, she had a following of 122 million. 
In this year's list, the former Disney star and singer landed in fifth place in the rankings. 
It was revealed that the 28-year-old, who now has a whopping 239 million followers on Instagram, can earn up to $1,468,000 per post.
