<br>Gold Coast young gun Malcolm Rosas has been hailed by Suns coach Stuart Dew for seizing his AFL opportunity in Sunday's 30-point win over Carlton.<br> <br>The 20-year-old, the first Sun signed from the Darwin Academy zone, kicked three goals in his first appearance of the season against the Blues at Metricon Stadium as the hosts bounced back from last weekend's disappointing loss to GWS.<br> <br>Rosas's goals were the first of his five-game career and continued a trend to hit the scoreboard that he's shown on a regular basis for the club's reserves in the VFL.<br> <br>"The VFL is a really important competition for development. You want your guys coming in in-form and form isn't one good game," Dew said.<br> <br>"Certainly, what I learned at Sydney and through my journey in footy, is that guys that embrace that as a development opportunity and get in-form, it gives them a chance to get in and stay in.<br> <br>"You don't want to be a player that comes in and out.<br> <br>"Maly's worked really hard and his last month in particular has been outstanding and that's good.<br> <br>"It's great for him.<br><br>Definitely playing next week, obviously."<br> <br>Rosas wasn't the only one of the four players Dew brought into his side after the Giants' loss to shine .<br> <br>Josh Corbett kickeed two goals while defender Jy Farrar had some good moments before his game was cut short in the second quarter due to a hamstring injury.<br> <br>With Jack Lukosius set for scans on a leg injury after limping off late in the fourth quarter, the opportunity may be there for more Suns players to put their hand up as they aim to back up their win next Saturday against St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.<br> <br>"The good teams continually back it up week-in and week-out," Dew said.<br> <br>"We're clearly striving to be that, so it's a good challenge for  [https://wiki.aetheriononline.com/w/User:VernB91049482 https://wiki.aetheriononline.com/w/User:VernB91049482] us next week."<br>
